Coronet Kennel

I have been involved in the sport of purebred dogs for over forty years.  I began in 1965 showing and breeding Boxers.  After several years the time involved and expense became too much for a single working parent and I was forced to take a hiatus from the show ring.  After 20 years I returned to the world of showing and breeding purebred dogs. Coronet Kennels was born with the primary breed being the German Shorthaired Pointer and the occasional Samoyed. This began my love of Sporting breeds. Breeds that are beautiful in the show ring and a pleasure to watch in the field.  I believe they are the epitome of the phrase “form follows function”.

I am a member and active in several breed clubs.  Treasurer/Secretary of the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of Riverside County, President of the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of Orange County, Secretary/Treasurer of the Samoyed Club of San Diego, Secretary of Lake Mathews Kennel Club, member of German Shorthaired Pointer Club of America, the Samoyed Club of America and Bahia Sur Kennel Club.  I, also, loan my horses to the local clubs for use in hunt tests and field trials as a way to save the Club some of the costs in presenting the events.  I like to participate and work in the health testing offered at the GSP Nationals each year as I believe healthy dogs are happy dogs and produce healthy puppies.

In my other life I am a retired Workers’ Comp specialist from the Cal State University San Bernardino and San Diego Unified School District.  Prior to that I worked in securities and investment for a stock broker as their stock trader and firm accountant.
